Naturally, all struggling authors are delighted when someone reads their book, and enjoy it enough to feel it is worth writing about. In this case, it's particularly pleasing because, as he says in his review, had we not been friends for a decade or more, he'd probably not even have heard of my book, still less picked it up.
And yet, having read it, he found that some of the ideas and approaches I describe bear more than a passing similarities to the ones he uses in his own, very different, sphere of interest.
And that's before he was amazed and bewildered to discover what you can do with needle and thread!
